The North 5th Street Improvement Project Team has evaluated alternatives based on recommendations from the North 5th Street Corridor Study, four Public Workshops, the public information meeting, and additional public input.

The City of North Las Vegas City Council authorized right-of-way acquisition within the project boundaries from Owens Avenue to Cheyenne Avenue, as a function of the phased implementation schedule.  Construction of Phase 1A, Lake Mead Boulevard to Carey Avenue, is complete.  Construction of Phase 1B, Owens Avenue to Lake Mead Boulevard is underway.  Construction of Phase 1C, bridge from Carey Avenue to Losee Road, is scheduled to commence in early 2010.

The following map reflects the ultimate roadway build-out as proposed by the North 5th Street Corridor Study and modified as per the current planning studies. The recommended alignment, bridges, and interchanges are conceptual only and subject to change.
